October 5-9, 2015

Dear Parents,

What do you value in a friend?  That is the question that Mrs. Stuhr, Zion’s chapel leader this week, asked the students and faculty.  Examples of trustworthiness, always there for us, and being kind were some of the things that the students value in a friend.  Mrs. Stuhr then reminded us that Jesus is the best friend that we can ever have and that we need to remember that He is always there for us!

Information for this week/upcoming weeks:

*The lemonade stand was a hit!  We raised $1007 for the Clausing family!  Zion’s students drank over 50 gallons of lemonade!!!!  The third grade students did a great job of serving!!!!

*Field Trip this Friday, Oct. 9th.  Please make sure your child packs a lunch (can be in a lunch box) with a drink, wears jeans, tennis shoes, and Zion red t-shirt.  We will leave at 11 a.m. and be back by 2 p.m.

*Parent/Teacher Conference times were assigned to your family this past Wednesday.  Please look for the slip in your child’s red folder.  Please return the bottom portion so that I know that that time works for you.
