October 26-30

Dear Parents,

This week in chapel, Mr. Kuhlmann reminded us to “STAND STRONG”,
“DON’T BUDGE”, “WORK HARD”, AND “COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!”  It was a great reminder for all of us that what we do matters to God!

Information for next week:

*We sing Sunday, Nov. 1st at 8 a.m.

*Red Ribbon Week:  Please check out the homepage of Sycamore to read about the special dress up days.

What we are doing next week:

Religion:  We have finished our unit on Martin Luther and will start our study of New Testament stories.

Reading:  We are starting mysteries this week!  Thank you for working with your child on his/her reading log!  We will also be talking about asking questions while we are reading, and making predictions while we are reading.  We are working with the prefix of dis- and the suffix of -ful.

Grammar: Plural nouns

Writing:  We will start our Informative Writing unit.  We will be doing research on animals and writing a short research paper.

Math:  Adding 3 or more single digit numbers

Social Studies:  Test on Tuesday, Nov. 3.  A study guide and SS book will go home on Friday.

Have a great weekend!
