It was great to see so many moms at Muffins for Moms! It was also wonderful to worship with moms during our chapel time. Mr. Marolf reminded us that we are God’s chosen family! If you are looking for somewhere to worship this weekend, Zion’s services are at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. My family usually attends the 8 a.m. service and we would love to have you join us (you can help keep my 2 year old at bay! 🙂
Information for this week:
*Zion’s Thanksgiving Food Drive is going on right now. The 3rd grade has been asked to bring in supplies for Green Bean Casserole: cream of mushroom soup and French Fried Onions. Your child can bring in items until Nov. 18th when we take our food up to chapel. Offerings this month will help purchase the turkeys for the Thanksgiving meals that will be given to families at St. Louis Concordia Seminary.
*3rd/4th Grade Advent Service will be on Dec. 9th. We will lead at 10 a.m. in the morning and at 7 p.m. that night. Each child will have a speaking part in the service. I will send home the speaking parts next week.
What we will be doing next week:
Religion: The birth of Jesus
Reading: Non-fiction-main idea and details, pulling facts from a story, using those facts to write a paragraph, homographs
Math: We have started multiplication facts. If your child still doesn’t know his/her addition facts, please continue to practice at home. We will talk about greater than/less than, cup/pints/quarts/liters/gallons.
