This week in chapel, Mrs. Haun talked to us about her mission trip to Belize. She showed us the Bible that will be sent to children in Belize! Exciting to think about what our offerings can do for other people to learn about Jesus!!!

Please make sure to have a background check on file with the school office. Call/email Julie Schmidt, Zion’s secretary, to get the process started. We are in the process of scheduling one more off campus field trip for the spring and we will also have Immigration Day which we will need lots of parents to help with in the spring! So blessed to have so much support and help from all of you!!!!

What we will be working on next week:
Religion: Adam and Eve in Paradise and the Fall into Sin
Reading: Starting unit “Building a Reading Life”, using a reading log to help us establish good reading habits, introduction to fluent reading: what it looks like, sounds like
Math: Fact practices will start coming home this week.
Writing/Grammar: Building writing stamina and writing complete sentences in our writing
Science: Answering the questions, “What is weather and how do we describe it?” “What tools do scientists use to measure weather?”
Art: We started papermache this week and will finish our globes this week. These globes will help us explain: Northern and Southern Hemisphere, Equator, and axis. 🙂
