1st/2nd grade did a great job of leading Zion’s last Advent service this week. Zion’s next service will be the Christmas Eve service at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., or 11 p.m. Zion will also have a service at 9 a.m. on Christmas morning. Come and worship the baby King!
Information for this week:
*I have scheduled the last field trip for March 30th to Bissinger’s Chocolate Factory. We will leave around 9:00 and be back by 1:00. If you have not had a chance to chaperone and would be willing to help out, please feel free to email me. When we come back from Christmas break, I will look to fill four chaperone positions if I haven’t heard from anyone before then. Thanks!
*We dismiss at 12 p.m. on Thursday; no lunch or After Care that day.
What we will be doing this week:
Religion: Finishing up the Christmas story and making games for children to play when they are going through chemotherapy at Mercy Hospital
Reading: Finishing up Helen Keller and our narrative non-fiction unit
Math: 7’s multiplication is here! We did our pre-assessment last week and we have been working on them daily in class. We will assess on Thursday so if you noticed that your child needs extra practice (if they received 15 or lower on their Pre-assessment), please have them work on their facts daily.
Social Studies: Students will have an in-class quiz on Wednesday; no studying needing to be done at home.
Pictures: We made Plural Noun games that Mrs. Smith’s 2nd grade class played….
